Received a promotional copy of this book in the mail the other day thanks to Sara and Prestel Books and I have to say it's well worth the 20$ or 13 € it cost (hard cover). With it's 192 pages of full color graffiti drawings and sketches featuring never-before-published art by Ghost, Cycle, Wane, Crash, Daze, Mith, Sane, Dondi, Zephyr, SP.One, Sharp, Jon One, Mare, Ces, Cope 2, Seen, Haze, Reas etc, etc. Perfect scans of front and back black book art on thick top quality paper. The graffiti is mostly NYC artist that go from 1985 to 2005, so there are styles and writers that are familiar to many generations, from the old school to the newer kids writing today. I also liked the fact that they didn't just inclued fancy wall sketches but also throwups, tags and even some stickers, so all kinds of writers will enjoy it. Check out Chino's blog for the production fliks and the tons of black books they used. A really well made book worth a serious look.

Recibí una copia promocional en el correo de este libro el otro día gracias a Sara y Prestel Books y tengo que decir que vale la pena los 20$ / 13 € que vale el libro (tapa dura). Con sus 192 paginas de dibujos y bocetos de graffiti a todo color y nunca publicados. Artistas como Ghost, Cycle, Wane, Crash, Daze, Mith, Sane, Dondi, Zephyr, SP.One, Sharp, Jon One, Mare, Ces, Cope 2, Seen, Haze, Reas etc., etc.. Escaneos perfectos de las dos caras de piezas de blackbook en un papel grueso y de alta calidad. El graffiti es mayoritariamente de Nueva York, que va desde 1985 hasta 2005, así que hay estilos y escritores para todas las generaciones, desde la vieja escuela hasta los que están empezando. También me gusto que incluyesen no solo bocetos de muros pero también pompas, tags y hasta pegatinas, así que todo tipo de escritores les gustara este libro. Mirate el blog del Chino para ver las fotos de la producción y el numero de blackbooks que se han utilizado. Un libro muy bien hecho que se merece un buen vistazo.
